We Take the Fear Out of Graduating
Ask yourself, "What is the number one concern that people have when they graduate from a training program?"
"Will I be able to get a good job where I will be happy and well-paid? Or will I beable to get a job at all?"
When
you go through the Drake Medox College program, you have the
option to
take part in an in-depth "Job Seeking Skills"
training module, which provides students with an opportunity
to practice interviewing skill through role playand mock
interviews. Each student prepares a completed résumé,
learns key job-finding
techniques, and receives a documentation
checklist which is needed to facilitate their job application process.
However, this is really just given as background
training to make you a better all-around
professional.
Remember, Drake Medox has a health care services division, Drake Medox Private Care and we encourage our graduates to apply for positions with our care services team.
And on top of that, if you decide you want to look for work in other parts of the health care system not covered by our sister company, Drake Medox Health Services, our college team will support you in your questto find the right job. Because we are so thoroughly integrated into the entire healthcare services community, we know all the right people to call, and because the Drake Medox College program is so highly respected by healthcare service providers, you are well positioned to land the job you want!
You will be able to find openings in home support agencies, intermediate and extended care facilities special care units for persons with dementia, adult day centres, and private homes.
And remember, Resident Care/Community Health is a growth market because the population is aging. According to the Canadian Occupation Projection System (COPS), employment prospects for this fieldare growing at an annual rate of 2.1%, which is faster than average for all occupations.
